Mayan Maelstrom

Our recent projects have used "Augmented Reality" technology to create site specific installations of Art that is viewable with a smart phone and a downloadable application. For this exhibition, we would like to create an Augmented Reality sculpture for the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild gallery space. The piece will occupy the piece virtually and be viewed via either a viewers personal smart phone (Android or iPhone) or the one we propose to install as part of our installation.

Our piece includes a wall-mounted ipad and a tethered iphone for viewing the virtual 3D model in the gallery. The ipad will show an image of the Mayan Calendar with a QR code at it's center.  The iphone will display a virtual tornado of cars within the Gallery Space, viewable on it's screen or on the phone of a viewer who has downloaded the "Layar" App.
